Motorcyclist dies after crash in Ahwatukee

AHWATUKEE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Tuesday morning in Ahwatukee.

Police say 36-year-old Omari Clark died after he collided with a truck near the intersection of 51st Street and Elliot.

Clark was weaving through the intersection when he hit the truck and became stuck under another vehicle. His motorcycle ricocheted nearly 50 feet into the air and into a ravine after the collision.

Clark was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Elliot Road was closed in both directions at the intersection for several hours.
