Motorcyclist in critical condition following crash

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A motorcyclist is in critical condition after crashing into a median in north Phoenix.

Phoenix police tell Fox 10 that the crash happened near Happy Valley Road and Interstate 17.

The motorcyclist lost control and crashed into the median while traveling west on Happy Valley Road. As a result, Happy Valley Road is closed in both directions near I-17.

The closures are expected to last throughout the morning.
