Naked, tattooed, bloody man arrested in Maricopa

A naked and bloody man was spotted roaming a neighborhood. Several homeowners say they saw him in their yards and the trail of blood he left behind before he was arrested.

On September 17th, police were called to an area near west Bowlin Drive and Maricopa Road around 2:00 a.m. for reports of a naked, bloody man running through the neighborhood.

"A 12-year-old who was bringing in the cats from outside when she observed somebody in her backyard. She immediately told her father. He father called 911, we responded," said Ricardo Alvarado of the Maricopa Police Department.

Once police were on scene, they discovered this man had ran through several backyards, even running through someone's house and breaking their window.

"We know he entered at least four backyards. One house he actually entered in to the house. Exited the house through the front window," said Alvarado.

Police later caught up with Al-Hakiem Towns in someone's front yard. He was naked and bloody. He told police, "Every time I smoke spice this happens."

"The whole incident itself was something that was different then we usually have, but we're glad that nobody got hurt and the individual that saw him said something."

Police say Towns has been arrested on similar charges in the past. This time, he's facing criminal damage and disorderly conduct charges.
