Near freezing temps force valley residents to bundle up

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Valley residents felt the effects of near freezing temps when waking up on Tuesday.

On Mill Avenue, many people were bundled up on Monday night as they left surrounding bars and this was not the kind of cold to expect this time of year in the valley.

In Northern Arizona, snow hit the area with the White Mountains getting hit pretty hard. Due to the snow and ice, road conditions were dangerous and on Monday morning, I-40 at I-17 was closed due to ice on the road.
