New renderings released for ASU Sun Devil stadium

It has been a part of Arizona State University since the 1950's. Now there is an update on the multi-million dollar renovation taking part at ASU's Sun Devil Stadium.

Sun Devil Stadium is one huge construction zone as phase two of a $260 million dollar renovation project is underway. Students will notice major changes the next time they walk into the stadium for a game. As you can see in the new renderings released by ASU Athletics, fans can hardly wait.

"I'm loving to see the transformation of it; I saw some pictures of what it's hopefully going to look like. It's going to look really nice; I'm really excited for it," said CJ Clarizio.

"I'm really excited to see what it looks like, and I feel like it is going to bring in a lot of big recruits, and I feel like everyone's going to want to come and watch the game," said Rachel Ometer.

The renovations will bring the stadium into the 21st century. With more bathrooms, concession stands, and Wi-Fi available, it also includes an expansion of the "Inferno" the designated student section for current Sun Devil students.

Ometer will be a graduate by the time the stadium renovation is finished in September of 2017, but she says she will be back often for the games.

So what will she tell incoming freshmen students? "I'm going to tell them they're very lucky because the original Sun Devil Stadium was awesome, has a lot of history, a lot of tradition and everything. But the new one is going to be awesome for all of them to see, and it's going to be a world-class facility," said Ometer.
