On Saturday, police released a photo of a suspect on the loose involved in a deadly shooting at a valley casino that took the life of a retired officer on Christmas Eve.

Gila River Police named 47-year-old John Albert Campos Sr as the suspect in this case on Saturday. He is reportedly the father-in-law of Frank Rojas, who was the original person of interest in the case.

The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino near I-10. The Gila River Police Department told Fox 10 that the suspect, left the casino, but stopped and walked back into the casino.

The suspect approached a car in the parking lot and opened fire on 52-year-old Frank Pascua.

Pascua, a retired Bakersfield, California police officer, was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Rojas, who was a previous person of interest in this case, has been cleared. Police have now directed their attention to Campos Sr., who is Rojas' father-in-law.

Several local and federal agencies are now searching for Campos, who is considered armed and dangerous, police say. Anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately. Gila River Police say their investigation will continue.
