New tiger debuts at Phoenix Zoo on Friday

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Welcome to Arizona, Dari!

Dari, a 4-year-old female Sumatran tiger from the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma, Washington, will make her debut at the Phoenix Zoo on Friday!

The Phoenix Zoo says Dari is part of a breeding recommendation from the Association Zoos and Aquariums Sumatran Tiger Species Survival Plan.

The zoo says Dari has a sweet demeanor and has already begun to explore her new habitat.

Dari will most likely be out for the public to see sometime in the 8 a.m. hour on Friday and will remain outside until about 4 p.m.
