PCSO: Ahwatukee man arrested, accused of attempted sexual misconduct with a minor

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. (KSAZ) -- Officials with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office said a 23-year-old Ahwatukee man has been arrested, after he allegedly agreed to meet a 16-year-old girl to have sex.

According to a statement released Thursday afternoon, 23-year-old Seth De Rosier is facing multiple charges, including sending obscene material to a minor, aggravated luring, and attempted sexual misconduct with a minor.

De Rosier, according to officials, was arrested Thursday morning, and the arrest came, following a two-month investigation which began after the 16-year-old told her teacher that she received an inappropriate picture from the suspect. The investigation revealed that the suspect started talking to the girl two years ago, and that during the course of the online chat, the suspect was, in the words of officials, flirtatious.

The alleged victim, officials say, told investigators the suspect was "creepy", but became upset when she received inappropriate pictures. Undercover detectives then began chatting with the suspect on the alleged victim's social media accounts, and the suspect eventually made plans to come to the alleged victim's home on Thursday, with the intention to have sex.

De Rosier, according to the statement, was arrested by PCSO deputies after he arrived at the home. An investigation is ongoing, any anyone who may have had contact with De Rosier should call (520) 866-5111.
