BUCKEYE, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Buckeye Police say they have arrested a juvenile after a post was made online referencing threats towards Youngker High School.
Police officials stated, "Information received was that a Snapchat post was circulating which showed an unknown subject holding a firearm with a message threatening to shoot people at Youngker High School tomorrow (Monday, March 25, 2019). This particular Snapchat was shared numerous times throughout the community, which prompted several calls for service to Buckeye PD."
Police say they received information about the social media post overnight and arrested the juvenile responsible. The suspect admitted to creating the Snapchat and the threat. Officers say a BB gun used in the post was recovered and taken as evidence n the case.
The juvenile suspect was booked into the Durango jail. The name of the person was not released.
Police confirm there is no threat to the school and want to thank the community for bringing the threat to their attention.
