PD: Shooting at Phoenix motel leaves 1 critically injured

PHOENIX (FOX 10) - Police are investigating a shooting at a Phoenix motel that has left a man in critical condition.

They say the man was shot around 10 a.m. Sunday at a Super 8 motel near Interstate 17 and Northern Avenue.

"We do know that two or three suspects were involved," said an official on the scene. "We're waiting to get more details from our investigators at this time and to get a better description from our subjects."

Police interviewed witnesses, but they don't have a description of the suspect yet.

Officers were called out to the motel after receiving reports of gunshots heard in the area. While checking various rooms, police say officers found an unresponsive man who had been shot and he was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.

The name of the wounded man has not been released.
