Man dies after being hit by Phoenix police vehicle

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police say a man has died after he was hit by a Phoenix police vehicle.

Phoenix police tell Fox 10 that the pedestrian was hit by a police vehicle near Seventh Street and Deer Valley Road. Officers were responding to reports of a man walking in the roadway.

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital where he later died.

Police also say a note found on the victim suggests the pedestrian was a danger to himself.
