COTTONWOOD - Cottonwood Police have in custody a "person of interest" after his mother was found dead, and police are calling her death suspicious.
Police officers say they went to check on the welfare of 61-year-old Pamela Shepherd, who had not been seen since the night of Tuesday, November 17th. When a family member arrived and opened the door, officers went inside and found the woman dead in her vehicle, which was parked in the garage of her home.
Shepherd sometimes shared the home with her 41-year-old son, Nathaniel Stubbs. Cottonwood Police are calling the death suspicious, and officers have arrested Stubbs on several outstanding warrants.
Police are calling Stubbs a "person of interest" in the death of his mother, and he was booked into the Yavapai County Sheriff's Jail in Camp Verde. Police are continuing their investigation.
