PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Phoenix Police officials have released an update Thursday afternoon on a series of incidents where people reported explosive sounds in Northwest Phoenix.
According to the statement, the calls for service were made between October 1 and December 1. Calls were made in an area between W. Thunderbird Road and W. Happy Valley Road, and N. 67th Avenue to I-17. Callers, officials say, used terms such as "loud explosions", "louder than a gunshot", "saw flash", "boom", and "loud bang".
While there is limited information as to the source of the explosions, the Phoenix Bomb Squad is looking for a vehicle of interest, described as an older model white Chevrolet or GMC pick-up truck with a possible black bed liner, and a front bumper that is possibly gray or silver painted.
