Phoenix company prints T-shirts for wineries impacted by California wildfires

Those devastating wildfires may be a state away, but people here in the Valley are doing what they can to help.

The clothing company X-treme Apparel in north Phoenix is doing two really cool things.

First, they will be printing #SonomaCompanyStrong shirts and giving them to California wineries whose employees have been impacted by the fires. The hope is that those wineries will sell the shirt for donations and use the money where they see fit in the community.

The company is also donating unsold shirts to the victims of the fire.

One of the owners of X-treme Apparel drove to Sonoma County today with thousands of shirts and his co-partner, Mark Daus, is shipping thousands more out over the weekend.

"People were running with just the clothes on their back and we've seen the pictures... it's literally nothing," he said. "So obviously, food, shelter, clothing... we're in the clothing business and hopefully we can fulfill one of the necessities in life and if nothing else, give people some T-shirts to put on so they can go back to their homes and see what's left and try to find their belongings and what not."

This is something X-treme Apparel has done many times before. They printed 20,000 charity shirts for Las Vegas, raised more than $150,000 for the families of the fallen Granite Mountain Hotshots, and more than $1 million for families of first responders of 9/11.
