Phoenix Fire: Body found inside house following fire

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Phoenix Fire officials say a man was found dead inside a home, following a fire on Monday.

According to a statement, crews responded to a home near 1st Street and Pima on Monday, after reports were made of smoke showing from the home. Fire crews managed to quickly contain the fire, and crews discovered the body after they searched the home.

An investigation, which officials say will be handled by Phoenix Police & Fire investigators, is underway.
