PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Authorities say a man who died following a fiery car crash in south Phoenix also had a gunshot wound.
According to Phoenix police, firefighters were called out to the area of 48th Street and E. Roeser Road for a single car accident on Wednesday night. When crews arrived at the scene, they found the car on fire, and a man inside the car.
Crews began putting out the fire and provide initial life-saving treatment until other firefighters arrived. In addition to injuries from the car crash, firefighters say the victim was also suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
The victim's identity has not been released at this time.
