Phoenix intersection back open after sinkhole shut it down for weeks

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A Phoenix intersection has reopened after it was closed for two weeks due to a massive sinkhole.

The intersection of 35th Avenue and Cactus was reopened on Wednesday after weeks of repair to fix the damage left behind by remnants of Hurricane Rosa.

The sinkhole formed on October 2 after Rosa dumped large amounts of rain in the Valley.

The City of Phoenix Street and Transportation Department says minimal lane restrictions remain in place as crews finish final touches of the repair work.
