PHOENIX, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Phoenix police have arrested a man in connection to a hit-and-run that resulted in the death of a skateboarder.
The incident happened Saturday night at 7:20 p.m. in the area of 19th Avenue and Dunlap.
Police say Mathew Carringer, 24, was riding a skateboard against traffic when he was hit. Carringer was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators say the vehicle, a dark-colored sedan, did not stop and left the scene.
On Sunday at 8 p.m., police located the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Breyon Green, and arrested him for leaving the scene of a traffic collision resulting in injury or death.
