PHOENIX (AP) -- Authorities say one person is dead and another driver injured after two vehicles collided and then crashed into a city bus near 46th Street and Southern.

Phoenix police say the name of the person killed in Thursday morning's accident is being withheld until relatives can be notified.

They say a pickup truck crossed over lanes and collided with an SUV.

The vehicles then struck a Valley Metro Bus that was also approaching a stop.

The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead on scene.

Police say the driver of the truck was transported to the hospital with serious injury and is expected to survive.
