Phoenix Police: Food delivery driver seriously hurt after armed robbery

PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Phoenix Police officials say a food delivery company driver suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries following an armed robbery incident Tuesday night.

The incident, according to Sgt. Armando Carbajal, happened on the 2000 block of E. Baseline Road. The delivery driver was walking into a restaurant in the area to pick up an order when two adult men and one adult woman confronted the victim and demanded his car at gunpoint. The victim was hurt following a physical altercation, and the victim's car was stolen by the suspects, who then fled the scene.
