Phoenix Police identifies woman who died after domestic violence shooting

Phoenix Police officials have identified a woman who died after a domestic violence shooting incident on May 13.

According to a statement released by Sgt. Vince Lewis Monday afternoon, the woman who died has been identified as 37-year-old Amanda Chase.

According to an earlier statement by Phoenix Police officials, they received a call from a 31-year-old man, at around 7:45 a.m. on May 13, stating that he had been shot by his wife, and that he had also shot her. When police arrived to the 20000 block of N. 38th Drive, they found the man with a non-life threatening injury.

Chase, according to the statement, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two children, according to Phoenix Police, were at the home during the incident. An investigation in ongoing.
