Arrest made in home invasion, kidnapping case

An arrest has made in connection with a home invasion near 28th Street and Greenway that occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Friday.

Officials say four people arrived at the apartment to collect a debt. Two of the individuals were armed with handguns.

The group then took 25 year old Amber Burros with them and they left with her dark green 1999 Saab with Indiana license plate WYW805. By 1:00 p.m. police reported that Amber had been found safe.

On Saturday, police announced that 21-year-old Michelle Adams was located and arrested in connection with the case. The victim's dark green Saab was also located.

As you can imagine, this was a terrifying morning for people who live in this complex.

"That's scary.. that's right next door to my house.. so it's very scary," said Greg Werton.

Another neighbor, Coral Griswold, added, "It's very quiet over here, that's why I'm like, in shock. I had to turn around and come back to find out what had happened."

Sgt. Vince Lewis stated they're also looking for an investigative lead with this crime, 21-year-old Michelle Adams. She is described as a white female, with both blonde and brown hair.

Police have not released suspect descriptions in this case, only that the group consisted of 2 males and 2 females.
