Phoenix police look for flatbed truck involved in fatal hit-and-run

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix police are looking for a flatbed truck that was involved in a fatal hit and run crash Saturday night.

Officers responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian Saturday, Sept. 1 at 7:24 p.m. near North 16th Street and East McDowell Road.

Police say Rafael Garcia, 66, was crossing the street when he was hit by a white Ford flatbed truck traveling northbound. Garcia died from his injuries.

The driver of the truck did not stop and fled the scene. The truck was seen on surveillance video from a nearby gas station following the incident.
