Phoenix Police looking for man accused of sexually assaulting girl
PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Phoenix Police officials are asking for the public's help, as they search for a suspect in a sexual assault case involving a girl.
In a statement, Sgt. Tommy A Thompson said the victim is a juvenile girl, but did not provide an age in an effort to protect the victim.
According to the bulletin, the incident took place at 6:00 a.m. Friday, along the 600 block of W. Indian School Road. The suspect forced his way into the apartment, and sexually assaulted the victim. The victim's stepfather than caught the suspect in the apartment, and chased him onto Indian School Road, where the suspect fled, heading east.
The suspect was described by police as a black man between 30 to 50 years old, about 6' tall, and weighing 180lbs to 200lbs. At the time, he was described as wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt, dark tan baseball-style hat, and was carrying a dark navy or blue backpack.
