Missing 8-year-old girl found at a friend's house

The search for an 8-year-old girl intensified a day after she went missing at an apartment complex near 35th Avenue and Indian School Road. By Monday afternoon, Timgoy Dak had been found at a friend's house.

According to officials, Dak's family reported last seeing her on Saturday, October 8th at 9:30 a.m. at her apartment. Area residents reported seeing her within the complex Sunday morning at 1:30 a.m. when we re-entered her apartment. Police say they were notified by the child's family that she was missing on Sunday at 5:45 p.m.

On Monday, crews were searching a dumpster at a strip mall, pulling out every single item that was inside. The dumpster is located right behind the complex where the girl was last seen. Investigators have not released a reason for why they are searching the dumpster.

Neighbors in the area told FOX 10's Danielle Miller that Timgoy's mother has been out of the country for quite some time and it's actually the mother's boyfriend who is looking after the girl.

"I have seen her. She plays in here with all the other kids.. running around all day, but I don't know.. she's been gone now," said Simone Riddley.

The apartment complex is near North 35th Avenue, West Grand Avenue and West Indian School Road.
