PHOENIX (KSAZ) - It is a video that went viral on social media. A Phoenix Suns dancer gets engaged during one of her performances, hey boyfriend popped the question mid-court. Tasha and Trevor had planned to get married at the courthouse, but a couple of photography teachers had a different idea, and the couple held their wedding during one of the classes.
It's not a typical wedding day, of course, the bride and groom were there with flowers and a wedding cake, but the average wedding doesn't have 16 photographers.
"We're gonna have thousands, probably 20,000 pictures," said Trevor Cruz.
Tasha's friend is a photographer and found the couple was getting married at the courthouse when she had a different plan.
"As photographers we were like oh my gosh, they're just way too beautiful of humans to not have gorgeous wedding photos," said Amy Demos.
Jordan and Amy Demos invited the couple to tie the knot at an editorial shoot for their wedding photography class.
"The only bride and groom in the history of the world who have 18 wedding photographers, and so in a sense they're getting a really, really, special experience," said Jordan Demos.
That experience includes everything you would need for the big day, including a wedding planner who was named one of Martha Stewart's top wedding planners.
All the couple had to do was say "I do" and smile for the camera.
"It's a really cool way to be able to talk through all the logistics of how to shoot details really well, how to shoot things more editorially, so they look like they belong in a magazine," said Amy Demos.
It was a picture perfect day the couple will never forget.
