PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Officials with the Arizona Animal Welfare League say a dog that was found trapped in a rubber muzzle will be made available for adoption on Friday.
FOX 10 first reported on Pixie in February. The German Shephard mix was found wandering around a small town outside of northeast Arizona, and had a muzzle strapped down over her face and snout. Doctors believe she was most likely abused, malnourished and scared.
According to a statement released Thursday afternoon, AAWL officials say Pixie has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She loves hanging out with other dogs, enjoys tasty treats, and is overcoming her shyness. They say a perfect home for Pixie is a family that is active on the weekends, has older kids, and will let her grow into her personality at her own pace, while fostering her confidence.
Adoption fee is set at $300.
