Police arrest man for attempted sexual assault of woman in downtown Phoenix

- Police have arrested a man for allegedly trying to sexually assault a woman in her apartment building.

Phoenix police say 21-year-old Tark Raemund Tsosie has been arrested and charged in the attempted sexual assault of a woman on March 19th.

Police say Tsosie followed the woman to her apartment building after slipping through a gate before it shut.  He then followed the victim to her apartment, and when she began to close the door he forced his way into her apartment and tried to drag her into a bedroom.

Fortunately the woman's roommate walked in and the suspect ran off.

He also changed his clothes before taking off.

Tsosie has been charged with attempted sexual assault, kidnapping, burglary, assault and possession of marijuana.
