Police: Car hits pedestrian in Phoenix

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police say officers are on the scene of a serious crash involving a car and pedestrian in Phoenix.

According to Sgt. Armando Carbajal with Phoenix police, the crash happened on Wednesday morning near 44th Street and Van Buren.

As a result, southbound 44th Street is closed from Van Buren to Washington Streets.
