Police: Clerk shot, killed during armed robbery at 7-Eleven

Thursday morning, FOX 10 obtained surveillance video of the deadly armed robbery that happened at a Phoenix 7-Eleven where a store clerk was shot and killed.

Phoenix police say the shooting happened overnight at a 7-Eleven near 16th Street and Southern. When the suspect entered the 7-Eleven, he robbed the clerks at gunpoint.

The surveillance video shows the gunman demanding money from the two clerks, who then handed over all the cash in the register. The suspect then ordered the two employees to a back room where the victim got into a struggle with the man for the gun.

The suspect then shot and killed 36-year-old Amanjeet Singh Toor and left the store.

The suspect was wearing a blue sweatshirt, a bandana over his face and gloves.

The victim's family is pleading with the public for help in catching the killer. The victim was known as "Sunny". He immigrated to the United States from India several years ago but his wife joined him in the U.S. only four months ago, never imagining she would become a widow so soon.

7-Eleven and Silent Witness are offering a reward of $11,000.
