PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix police are investigating an officer-involved shooting near 53rd Avenue and Clarendon.
"One person is in custody and there are no injuries to officers," stated Sgt. Vince Lewis.
Officers say the suspect was pointing a weapon at people near a school and businesses. When confronted the suspect fled from officers and pointed a weapon at officers who opened fire.
Authorities managed to stop him and took him into custody.
