PHOENIX - Police are investigating a double shooting at a Circle K gas station near 7th Street and Broadway Road on Monday.
"Witnesses reported that the suspect and several other men arrived at the convenience store and began to argue with the victim and another man. The argument escalated and shots were fired. The victim and an unrelated female who was a customer at the store were struck by gunfire," stated Phoenix Police Sgt. Jonathan Howard.
The shooting victims were identified as a 23-year-old male and 49-year-old female. Their names have not been released.
"Officers identified Naki Trussell as the suspected shooter. Trussell was located away from the scene and arrested without incident," added Howard. "Officers arrested two other males involved and detained them at JCC on unrelated warrants."
Trussell was booked into jail for one count of aggravated assault and one count of attempted murder 2nd degree.
