Man in critical condition following shooting in Phoenix

A man is in critical condition following a shooting in Phoenix on Thursday night.

Phoenix police tell Fox 10 that an 18-year-old man was was shot after a suspect displayed a pistol to the victim when he pulled up in his car near the area of Alice and Central Avenues.

Immediately after the pistol was shown, the victim drove away and the suspect began firing shots at the victim's car. The victim turned south on Central Avenue, lost control of his car, crossed a median and hit bushes and trees before his car came to a stop on the west side of Central.

An 18-year-old woman was also in the victim's car, but she was not hurt.

The suspect was last seen driving east on Alice Avenue.

The shooting suspect is described as a White man, 17-to-19-years-old, clean shaven, 5'10", 145 pounds and was wearing a blue shirt, black shorts and black hat.

The suspect's car is described as a late-90's or early 2000's Ford Mustang, off-white in color and with a factory air scoop on the hood. The hood of the car is also discolored with primer.

Two other men were also in the suspect's vehicle at the time of the shooing.
