Police: Two dead in early-morning crash

EL MIRAGE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police say two people died in an early-morning crash in El Mirage on Monday.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a man and woman were killed in a single-vehicle crash near Grand Avenue and Greenway just before 2 a.m. The couple was traveling east on Grand when they missed their turn onto Greenway, went over train tracks and crashed in front of the Greenway frontage road.

Both were ejected from the vehicle and were not wearing their seatbelts.

Due to the crash, Greenway is closed north of Grand Avenue.

DPS says speed may have been a factor in the crash.
