Tempe Police looking for hit-and-run driver who struck boy

Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck an 8-year-old boy and left the area without stopping.

The Tempe Police Department says the boy was hit by a vehicle on March 2 at 1:35 p.m. near Hayden and Apache. Surveillance video shows the boy had just exited a city bus when he was struck by a vehicle.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a dark grey Chevrolet passenger car, which was traveling westbound in the 2000 block of E. Hayden Ln.

The boy suffered minor injuries and the suspect did not stop after the collision.

The driver of the vehicle is described as a white or Hispanic woman in her 20's and police believe a second female passenger was in the car at the time of the collision.
