Police: Missing California man with dementia may be headed down I-10 to Alabama

A missing California man is believed to be traveling in Arizona down the I-10 toward Alabama, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Herbert Casey Sr.went missing Saturday afternoon from his home in Monterey County, California. Before he left, official say he had made statements that he was heading home. Casey used to live in Alabama, so officials believe he is headed on the I-10 eastbound to his home state.

Casey has Alzheimer's and dementia.

Officials say he is a white male with grey hair and hazel eyes, 5'10" and 190 pounds. He is believed to be wearing khaki-type pants with slip-on boots and an orange flannel shirt with a western belt. He may be wearing a grey baseball cap with the letters "DAV" on it.

Casey left his California home in a 2014 dark blue GMC pickup truck with the license number 85818M1.
