Police warn Laveen parents after alleged attack

Phoenix Police are warning parents to be on the lookout after three girls claim a young man tried to sexually assault them.

The alleged attack happened near 5600 W Baseline Road on Friday, January 15.

Three teenage girls claim a young Hispanic man confronted them and demanded the girls tried to touch him. The girls say he was armed with a knife.

The girls fought back, one punched the suspect in the face, and the girls fled the area and called the police.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, 19-20-years-old, 5'7" tall, 110 pounds, with short brown hair, brown eyes, unshaven with scars near his nose. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie, dark shorts, and shoes with no laces.

Anyone with information is asked to call Phoenix Police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
