Police: Woman hit, killed while crossing street in Phoenix

Police say a woman in her 30s was hit and killed while crossing a Phoenix intersection.

Phoenix police say the deadly collision happened at the intersection of 103rd Avenue and Camelback.

The driver stayed on the scene and waited for officers to arrive after the collision, but once officers got there, they conducted a field-sobriety test and say the driver was intoxicated.

Police say Camelback Road will be closed between 99th and 101st Avenues through the morning rush hour.
