Prescott teen dies after drowning incident at Lake Pleasant

A young man has passed away after he fell into Lake Pleasant Saturday afternoon.
Chris Hegstrom with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department said 18-year-old Clayton Waggle of Prescott, Arizona passed away Saturday evening.
Tim Eiden with the Peoria Fire Department said the teen was a non-swimmer who was not wearing a life jacket when he fell into the water.
Eiden said Waggle was attempting to cross the lake by walking across some buoys when he slipped and fell into the water.
Waggle’s teenage brother tried to help pull him out of the water.
MCSO officials pulled Waggle into their boat and administered CPR before he could be flown to the hospital.
Unfortunately, the paramedic’s efforts were unsuccessful.
Waggle passed away at the hospital.
