PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Officials with the Arizona Department of Agriculture announced Thursday a recall of cream manufactured by a Phoenix business.
According to the statement, Danzeisen Dairy is recalling 360 pint bottles of its CREAM product, due to insufficient pasteurization. The cream has an expiration date of April 17, 2019.
At this time, Department of Agriculture officials say there have been no known illnesses associated with the product. Danzeisen Dairy was alerted to the issue by the Department of Agriculture, following routine sampling that confirmed detection of high levels of an enzyme that indicates improper pasteurization. As a result, the Department of Agriculture is embargoing all bottles of the product that were produced in the affected lot.
People who have bought the affected product are urged by Department of Agriculture officials to return it to the point of sale for a full refund, or return the product to the Danzeisen Dairy Creamery.
