PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Reports on Sunday suggest the brother of Cardinals Defensive Back Budda Baker was shot and killed in a Seattle neighborhood early Sunday morning.
According to the Seattle Times, 29-year-old Robert Baker was identified in news reports and on social media as the victim in the incident. Police in Seattle, however, have not confirmed the reports, only saying the victim's identity would be released by the Medical Examiner's Office in King County, which covers Seattle.
On his Instagram page, Baker issued a statement on behalf of his family confirming his brother's death, without going into specifics, and thanked people for their support.
According to The News Tribune, a newspaper that serves the Tacoma region south of Seattle, Robert was pronounced dead as he was being taken to the hospital.
