There are 64 units in the Canberra apartments. Residents here say they happen without air-conditioning for up to four weeks.
They're surviving the heat with small portable units or fans. FOX 10 checked with an infrared thermometer we brought with us and found temperatures of up to 100° in some rooms.
And this is not a cheap place to live either small studios were renting for over $600 a month and slightly larger apartments for substantially more people here are miserable.
The rent forms indicate the owner is a company called F&P assets #2 LLC. FOX 10 attempted to reach out to them to get their side of the story. The managers office was closed.
FOX 10 also notified the City of Phoenix, who says they are now investigating.
