Reward offered to help find theft suspects

Police are trying to find two suspects who broke into a gated storage area at an apartment complex and stole two mountain bikes and a beach cruiser, and a reward is offered for their arrest.

Police say the suspects, a man and woman, bypassed a security gate at the apartment complex near 44th Street and Camelback at about 12:45am on Friday, June 17. According to Silent Witness spokesperson Sgt. James Rothschild, the two climbed into a fenced storage area where numerous residents' bicycles were kept.

Police say the two stole a black mountain bike and a green or teal Kona mountain bike. Then on the next morning, Saturday June 18 at a bout 3:15am, the woman returned and stole a blue beach cruiser.

A reward is offered for information leading to their arrest; you're asked to call 480-WITNESS if you have any information and you can remain anonymous.
