Reward offered to find suspect who robbed man in wheelchair

Police are offering a reward to help find a suspect who's accused of robbing a senior citizen in a wheelchair on a city bus.

Police say the crime happened November 3rd at about 1:45pm near 19th Avenue and Van Buren Street. Officers say the victim, a 75-year-old man, was getting on board the bus in his wheelchair. The bus driver was busy securing the victim's wheelchair, when the suspect grabbed the victim's money envelope. The suspect stole the money and took off on foot eastbound.

The suspect is described as a 60-year-old man, five feet seven inches tall, about 170 pounds with brown hair. If you have any information on this crime, you're urged to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. There is a rewrad involved up to $1000 and you can remain anonymous.
