SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - It's one of the most special days of someone's life, but it can also be one of the most expensive, so Destiny's Bride in Scottsdale is hoping to ease that stress for those who have served us.
"They do things selflessly," Lisa Paurich said. "They go out there, selflessly and save us and protect us and be sure we have the great country we have here today."
Lisa, the owner, is married to a veteran herself and says she find so much joy in providing free dresses, hair and makeup to vets, first responders, or their fiances.
"When you marry someone who's that selfless, you can't be it," she said. "It means the world to me to be able to give them what I give them, what I give every day to brides, so it's nice to do this free."
When Destiny's Bride took part in the "Brides Across America" program three years ago, out of all the participating shops across the country, their store gave away the most dresses! Twenty four to be exact!
They have dozens of donated dresses this year and as store manager Callie says, they want to give away all of them.
"Especially what's been going on in the United States over the last couple of months," Callie Tyo said. "We are just really excited to give back to these amazing people."
