A valley city that was recently plagued by tragedy hosted an event all about women's safety Saturday.
The Scottsdale Police Department teamed up with local community groups to host the first annual 'Allison's Watch.'
The event was created in the hopes of helping women stay safe and free from harm.
The event was presented in the memory of Allison Feldman, who was found brutally murdered in her Scottsdale home this past February.
“We're all hoping that Allison's Watch will be a legacy that will guide other women... like a bright shining light, like a beacon helping to guide them to safety... and help to prevent other things like this," said Jazziette Devereaux, the event organizer.
The Scottsdale Police Department says while no arrests have been made in the case, it continues to be their top priority.
