SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Several hiking trails in Scottsdale remain closed after last week's winter weather due to elevated moisture levels.
The areas closed are located in the north area of Scottsdale's McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
City officials say the trails and trailheads will stay closed for one more day so they can dry out and will reopen Tuesday morning. Tom's Thumb Trailhead and its trails may need to remain closed longer.
The following trailheads and trails CLOSED through Monday, February 25:
- Tom's Thumb Trailhead (closure status TBA)
- Browns Ranch Trailhead
- Granite Mountain Trailhead
- Fraesfield Trailhead
- Pima/Dynamite Trailhead
- All neighborhood access points and trails north of Deer Valley Rd alignment
The following trailheads are OPEN:
- Gateway Trailhead
- Lost Dog Trailhead
- Sunrise Trailhead
