Scottsdale police investigate suspicious message alert

Scottsdale police are investigating a message that was posted to social media.

Letter from Scottsdale Unified School District Communications:

Dear Chaparral Families,

This letter is to inform you of a suspicious message, posted to an anonymous social media site, which is currently under investigation. The post reads "9/11 11:45 p.m. get ready Chap."

We want to applaud the students and parents who did the right thing reporting this to administration so it can be fully investigated. We are working closely with the Scottsdale Police Department and as a result you may notice an increased police presence on campus.
