Scottsdale Police looking for commercial burglary suspect who started a fire inside the business

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) -- Scottsdale Police officials are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect of a commercial burglary that happened in June.

According to a statement released on Wednesday, the suspect broke into a business on the 1400 block of N. Scottsdale Road at 1:37 a.m. on June 8. The suspect managed to enter through the front door of the business, after unsuccessfully trying to enter the business from a back door by firing three handgun rounds into a deadbolt.

The man, according to Scottsdale Police, took a guitar, an amplifier, a key making machine, and a computer tablet. Before the suspect fled the area on foot, he started a fire inside of the business. The fire was extinguished before it caused any significant damage to the business, or other businesses in the area.

The suspect is described by Scottsdale Police as a Black or Hispanic man with 5'10" to 6' tall, with dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a gray Los Angeles Dodgers baseball cap, a black leather jacket, blue jeans, gloves, and possible had a 9mm handgun in his possession.
