Scottsdale Police looking for person of interest in June assault that led to woman's death

Scottsdale Police officials say they are asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest in a recent murder incident.

According to a statement released Monday, the incident happened at around 3:15 a.m. on June 24, when a man violently attacked and sexually assaulted 70-year-old Paulette Larwinski on the patio of a business on the 3000 block of N. Brown Avenue. Larwinski was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, and died on June 30.

Scottsdale Police described the person of interest as a Caucasian or Hispanic man, 5'6" to 6' tall, weighing 170 to 200 lbs with dark hair. The person of interest was seen wearing no shirt and blue jeans prior to the attack, and was seen wearing blue jeans, a dark T-shirt and dark colored shoes after the attack.
